Receivables Factoring Rates

At one time or another, every company, even effective ones, have actually experienced poor cash flow.

Cash flow does not have to be a problem any more. Do not be deceived -- banks are not the only locations you can get funding. Other solutions are available and you do not have to borrow. Exactly what is trucking factoring ? One solution is called trucking factoring. Truck Factoring is the procedure of selling accounts receivable to a financier rather than waiting to gather the money from the customer. Oh, the Irony- Truck factoring has a paradoxical difference: It is the financial backbone of numerous of America's most successful companies. Why is this ironic ? Because receivable financing is not instructed in business colleges, is seldom discussed in company strategies and is fairly unidentified to bulk of most of American business people.

Yet it is a financial process that releases up billions of dollars every year, allowing thousands of companies to grow and prosper. Invoice Factoring has been around for countless years. Invoice Factoring Companies are financiers who pay money for the right to get the future payments on your invoices. An unpaid receivable or invoice has value. It is a debt your client has to pay in the near future. Factoring Principals--Although factoring offers exclusively with business-to-business deals, a big portion of the retail company utilizes a factoring principal. MasterCard, Visa, and American Express all utilize a form of factoring in their retail deals. Using the purest definition of the word, these big consumer finance companies are really just big Truck Factoring Businesses of consumer paper. Think about it: You make a purchase at Sears and charge it to your MasterCard. The shop makes money practically instantly, even though you do not make payment up until you are prepared.

For this service, the charge card company charges Sears a charge (typical common normal charges vary from 2 to four percent of the sale). The Advantages Invoice Factoring can provide numerous benefits to cash-hungry companies. Rather than wait 30, 60, 90 days or longer for payment on an item that has currently been provided, a company can factor (sell) its receivables for cash at a little price cut off the amount of the invoice. Payroll, advertising efforts, and working capital are just a few of the company needs that can be satisfied with instant  cash.

Account Receivable Financing offers the ways for a producer to replenish inventory and make even more products to sell: There is no longer a requirement to wait for earlier sales to be paid. Receivable Loan Financing is not simply a money management device for producers: Practically any type business can benefit from Truck Factoring. Typically, a business that extends credit will have 10 to 20 percent of its yearly sales bound in invoices at any given time. Think for a moment about exactly how much is bound in 60 days' worth of invoices: You can not pay the power bill or today s payroll with a client s invoice, but you can offer that invoice for the cash to meet those responsibilities. Using trucking factoring companies is a quick and easy procedure. The factor buys the invoice at a discount, usually a few portion points less than the face value of the invoice.

Salt Lake City, often shortened to Salt Lake, or SLC is the capital and the most populous city in the state of Utah. With an estimated population of 191,180 in 2013,[3] the city lies in the core of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, which has a total population of 1,140,483 as of the 2013 estimate. Salt Lake City is further situated in a larger urban area known as the Salt Lake City-Provo-Ogden, UT Combined Statistical Area. This region is a corridor of contiguous urban and suburban development stretched along an approximate 120-mile (190 km) segment of the Wasatch Front, comprising a total population of 2,389,225 as of 2013.[7] It is one of only two major urban areas in the Great Basin (the other being Reno, Nevada), and the largest in the Intermountain West. The city was founded in 1847 by Brigham Young, Isaac Morley, George Washington Bradley and several other Mormon followers, who extensively irrigated and cultivated the arid valley. Due to its proximity to the Great Salt Lake, the city was originally named ""Great Salt Lake City""the word ""great"" was dropped from the official name in 1868 by the 17th Utah Territorial Legislature.[8] Although Salt Lake City is still home to the headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), less than half the population of Salt Lake City proper are members of the LDS Church today.[9]Immigration of international LDS members, mining booms, and the construction of the first transcontinental railroad initially brought economic growth, and the city was nicknamed the Crossroads of the West. It was traversed by the Lincoln Highway, the first transcontinental highway, in 1913, and presently two major cross-country freeways, I-15 and I-80, intersect in the city. Salt Lake City has since developed a strong outdoor recreation tourist industry based primarily on skiing, and hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics. It is the industrial banking center of the United States.[10]The modern economy of Salt Lake City is service-oriented. In the past, nearby steel, mining and railroad operations provided a strong source of income with Silver King Coalition Mines, Geneva Steel, Bingham Canyon Mine, and oil refineries. Today the city's major industries are government, trade, transportation, utilities, and professional and business services. The city is known as the ""Crossroads of the West"" for its central geography in the Western United States. The daytime population of Salt Lake City proper swells to over 315,000 people, not including tourists or students.[80]

Take This One Minute Test

"

So, this is not a loan? asked Ricardo Torres, reclining back into his chair and crossing his legs. The woman sitting across the desk from Ricardo smiled at him, shaking her head. No, not exactly, she stated.Ricardo was the owner of a small trucking company which had fallen on some hard times recently. Certainly the trucking business can be an extremely profitable venture, and for many years it had been that way for Rene. His company was called Terry Trucking, named after both of his grandfathers, Edgar and Manuel. They had both been hardworking men, and had done a lot to make Ricardo the same.Six months ago disaster struck Rene's business when two out of his fleet of fifteen trucks were taken off the road.

One was involved in a very costly accident, and the other simply rolled over, and headed to the trucking graveyard. Ricardo depended on his full fleet, and missing two trucks was devastating . Furthermore, buying a whole new truck and fixing the other simply took more cash than Ricardo had on hand.Paying of bills in the trucking industry is always a major cause for concern for businesses.

You could go a month or more before bills were completely paid off. In the long run, this wasnt an issue, but if problems arose, you could find yourself in trouble.Ricardo wasnt a bad owner, and he hadnt messed up. Certain events had occurred that he could not possibly have predicted, and now he had to find a way to protect his business and prevent it from ultimate devastation. And that's why he found himself across the desk from this woman. Her name was Bertha and she worked for a factoring company. Ricardo had come across her company as he sat in his office late one night, pouring over the internet for some solution to his problem long after his employees had gone home. She sat there now, and explained. Its not a loan, we purchase your accounts receivable. We arent giving you money to be paid back later, were buying something from you, and you can buy it back when you can. That way were protected from a complete loss, but youre protected from the outrageous fees you would find in a loan from the bank.Ricardo nodded. It sounded perfect - perhaps too good?.Bertha laughed. I'm not sure that you believe me, she chuckled.Oh no, I do: it just sounds too good to be true. I actually thought I might end up losing my business.Bertha nodded. We get that a lot. There's no way we want to see you lose your business. We know how hard you work, and that you've invested everything in your business. Sometimes you need help. That's why we do what we do.""Well, I'm very grateful that you came to see me today.""Its right down the road, usually we do it all online, but I didnt mind swinging on by today, Bertha said with a smile. Lets see what we can do to help you.And with that they set about making a profile.

Ricardo completed the form, with Bertha offering advice as needed.

The profile filled Bertha and her company in on Renes company, and would help them determine if he was suitable for factoring. In truth, not all companies were. Some businesses are beyond the help of a Factoring company, while other businesses weren't in enough financial stress to warrant it. Listening as Ricardo filled out his form, Bertha was pretty sure he was a perfect candidate for factoring. When the form was done Bertha took it and slid it into her briefcase. She then stood, reached across the desk and shook Renes hand. He stood before they shook as well, and then smiled. Ricardo walked Bertha to the door where they said 'Goodbye', then he went back into his office. All his staff members were there, all seven who worked in his office. Sitting behind his desk once more he could hear the familiar sounds of his office workers going about their daily business. He leaned back and closed his eyes. He felt so drained: he had been flailing helplessly for so long, he just knew his business was going to collapse and probably take him with it. But now, after speaking to Bertha and learning all about Factoring, he felt such a huge relief, like someone had just lifted a huge weight off his shoulders. He sat back in his chair and ran a hand through his graying but still thick black hair. The long nights, where he couldnt sleep. The terrifying panic attacks that occurred regardless of where he was. Already he could feel all the stress start to drain away. He wasnt out of the woods yet, there was still a lot of work to be done, but he could feel it. He was there, he was on the right path, and he was working to make things right.Ricardo couldnt help but think back to when he had first started the business. At twenty-two and straight out of school he had opened a restaurant. It had been really successful. Home cooking in his hometown, and he had done very well. But it wasn't what he really wanted to do. His passion didnt lie with the food industry. He thought about it for a long time, then decided it was time to sell his restaurant. He took half a year off, and in that time he thought to start Terry Trucking. So he did it. For the second time in his short life he created a company from the ground up. He had been successful. Then disaster! The two trucks went down and suddenly his success wasn't looking so guaranteed. He was nearing fifty. He was concerned that he just did not have the energy left to try and save the business. But giving up wasn't part of his personality either.

Just the thought of shutting down, cutting his losses, laying off his workers - the whole thing made him physically sick some nights. He did not want to quit - both for himself and for his staff members. And now it seemed as though he would not have to - all because of Factoring. Rene's eyes opened, he sat forward in his chair and turned on his computer. He had lots to do. There would be plenty of time later to be thankful, but for now it was time to get back to work.

Freight Invoice Factoring

"

Since the mid 1980s Ryan Truck & Haul have been successfully running their freight business. They've delivered goods for nearly every major industry in the nation and for 20 plus years, business was booming as they've traversed the country in all weather for all clients. During the boom times from 2002 to 2007 Ryan Truck & Haul was the mastermind of a top-rated accounts receivable in the trucking industry. Very few customers were behind on their bills, and those customers who were late turned in their overdue payments within an acceptable time frame. Cash was flowing and times were good for all.It was just one year later, in 2008, when the economy in the United States took a sharp decline, and both large and small businesses started to notice the squeeze on their pocketbooks: everyone had suddenly gone silent. Business slowed down. And worse yet, Ryan had noticed during the early part of 2008 that though the bulk of their clients were always on time with payments, the few late-bloomers there were, had seemingly started to spread this illness. And as spring turmed to summer and summer into the early days of fall, Ruben Lewis, CEO of Ryan felt a chill go down his spine whenever he would look at the weekly A/R reports. The numbers of clients who owed him back debt were growing. He had gone to his administrators and asked them what the problem had been. Were they doing something wrong or different when it came to reaching out to delinquent accounts? When checking his bookkeeper's records this was definitely not the case. Perhaps he was losing his customers to his competitor, who seemed to offer very low prices with no guarantee of quality or performance, and these clients who were in debt to his company had possibly disappeared leaving him stranded. Perhaps they were unable to pay their debt to him, but were able to meet the costs of a lesser service. But after doing the cursory research for this and talking to friends in the field, he found that alas, no, customers of Ryan hadn't gone elsewhere. The had just gone!.To Ruben Lewis the situation looked desperate. He had employees to pay, goods to ship, trucks to maintain and overhead that was almost unbearable when compared against the lack of funds that were coming in. At night he would speak to his wife Tara and shake his head in frustration.

""Lin, I have a really bad feeling,"" he would say with deep woe.""What could you do differently?"" she would ask.Ruben would stare off into the distance, and then slowly close his eyes. He could see the fleet of trucks he had purchased over the years. He could see them traveling, bringing goods to all of his clients. But somewhere, a haze would form over his fleet and the vast number of vehicles would disappear to but a few. Why couldnt he work out how to resolve this financial problem with his business?""I think I know what it could be,"" Ruben said. ""I've relied too long on the profits I receive from invoices alone. For too long I've been allowing our clients to let their accounts become overdue."" All Tara could do was hold his hand and look at him tenderly. 'We know it is a difficult economy at the moment - perhaps it will take a while for people to get on top of their bills'.""Ruben knew very well that Tara was only trying to help, but his responsibilities weighed heavily on his shoulders and he knew he had better do something soon to resolve this situation. The following day Ruben walked into his office with a spring in his step, determined to call each and every client who owed money to Ryan Truck & Haul. Now, it wasn't the most efficient way to spend a day as a chief executive, what he really needed to be doing was to be overseeing all of the other intricacies of shipment and delivery and reaching out to prospective clients or retraining his sales team to do the same. Even though he was doing something to help his company, he knew he had folks on salary to do just this thing. A waste of time - a waste of money - he had the best intentions, but all the while Ruben was realising just how much trouble he was in.After a half day of contacting debtors in vain - they dodged his calls or promised to call back at worst or made minimal interest-only payments at best - he was about to throw in the towel when his secretary Annerley knocked at his door.

""Ruben, can I have a word?"" she asked standing in the doorway.

""Of course Ann, please come in."" Ruben leaned back in his chair and looked expectantly at Annerely.""Well, I did a little searching this afternoon and tried to figure out a way out of this mess Ruben."" She opened up a folder she had been carrying and pulled out a small wad of papers, placing them on the desk in front of him.""Have you ever heard the word factoring?"" she asked.""It does sound vaguely familiar. What is factoring""? he asked. She began, ""Well, it is really very simple. So basically, factoring invoices would enable us to get paid on the nose for loads that we haul.""Immediately?"" Ruben interrupted.""Yes, immediately,"" she continued, ""In a nutshell, it is pretty easy. We start by having a professional account manager review our figures and help us set up a company profile. That profile will also include investigating our accounts receivable aging reports, our existing customer credit limits and so on. Additionally, the factoring will help to determine the creditworthiness of our customers independent of their credit history with our business. Its a broad view.""Ruben replied cautiously ""I see - and what happens then?""Well, after their review, and were approved for a factoring contract, we can negotiate terms and conditions. You'll be surprised at the amount of flexibility, all dependent upon the credit histories and business volume.

The company will advise us the cost to purchase factoring for our company's accounts receivable. The funding commences once weve arrived at an agreement.Ruben leaned forward and reviewed the paperwork closely.""I do not know, Ann - it just sounds too good to be true"", Ruben said quietly.""Yes, I know; that's exactly what I thought at the beginning. But really, they have guaranteed us experts that do all the legwork, which would free us up here to focus on our clients in good standing and marketing, all that good stuff. They appear to be very flexible, Ruben,"" she underlined a paragraph on the paper before him.""Just how flexible?"" asked Ruben.""It seems that they personalize their factoring charges so that the amount they're prepared to work with is commensurate with our client's debt and our needs. Apparently they can figure this all out in two to four days.

""That sounds pretty good, seeing as we tapped ourselves out with bank loans last year to repair the fleet and money sure is tight. it is imperative that we keep the business rolling as usual, and every day we go unpaid we are getting closer and closer to dealing with some serious issues in both the short term and the long term,"" said Ruben. He took a deep breath and looked at his secretary with something she recognized as hope.""Exactly. This could very well be the answer to resolving the problems we are having with these clients who still owe us money.""Ruben took a moment to think about this solution, and agreed with his secretary. The clients who owed them money were long standing friends and professional resources of Ryan. Ruben wasn't prepared to lose these relationships just because they were having financial issues at the moment. Ruben knew that the economy had taken a hit and he knew that it would probably be a long time before things started to look up again. That unknown amount of time could create a disaster situation for both of them if he wasn't careful in how these debtors were handled. Of course he did not want to lose any more money, but he did not want to lose business either.""Let me go over this tonight Ann, and thankyou."" Ann stood up and left Ruben's office, with the nice feeling of knowing that she may just have solved a very serious problem.Ruben sat behind his desk and looked over the details Ann had not mentioned in their meeting. What other issues could freight factoring help Ryan with? With his pencil gliding down the sheet he noticed that the factoring company could help fray the cost of fuel with fuel discount cards and fuel advances. In fact, Ryan could receive up to fifty-percent cash advances upon load pick-ups. Ruben was a typical business man: he despised binding contracts that did not allow room to breathe, so he was pleasantly surprised to see that the factoring company did not require a long term contract, that there was no minimum volume required, and that there were no sign-up fees.""Well, I'll have to tell Felix about this,"" muttered Ruben to himself. His son-in-law Felix had liked the idea of Ryan so much and revered his father in law for having such business acumen that only two years before, he had gathered the venture capital to begin his own transportation service company. At that time Ruben knew the struggles Felix would face, but he still encouraged him to follow his dream. With the economy the way it was, if an established company such as Ryan was struggling then the little guys, like Felix, were going to be in even more trouble. But, maybe the answer for both of them was in freight factoring, and Ruben was going to find out very soon. Some months later, having successfully gone through the entire process of the application, having experts study his credit history and statements and review his accounts receivable, Ruben found that he was starting his journey out of the despair which had been created for him by his delinquent account holders. They took on reasonable factoring purchase contracts and stopped spending their precious man hours scrambling to collect debt. They took that time and refocused effort to offering competitive prices in new territories. Ruben looked back on the dismal months of life before freight factoring and almost shuddered at the thought. Had he missed the boat on this one, he probably wouldn't be in business today.

Trucking Invoice Factoring

The key reasons why Truck Companies Utilize Factoring Firms.

As the operator of your own business, you may well be more than knowledgeable already of the difficulty in making sure that capital concerns do not become a dilemma down the line. Anyway, the most unfortunate thing that can quite possibly happen for your enterprise is to find yourself dragged in a long and challenging predicament that leaves you forever searching for the money you are in need of on an recurring manner.

For just about any business in this instance, the trouble can come for waiting for work to clear up and actually be paid into your statement. Bill of sales, checks, and the like could take some time to actually to beprocessed which can certainly leave you with temporary cash flow dilemmas. Thank goodness, there are options out there for businesses to investigate-- and just one of these is factoring providers.

Factoring agencies will, in trade for your bill of sales, offer you with the finances right away so that you do not need to stress over the delaying phase which could make paying off the expenses and obtaining toolsmore hard. With this kind of system, invoice factoring can end up being remarkably beneficial for a lot of enterprises who ought to get out of a money lure which they have gotten themselves in.

For the reason that, depending on the size of the project, it can take up to 60 days for some enterprises to get paid then it is very important to blanket your own back and certainly not leave yourself money short to settle the bills. After all, how many businesses have two months revenue just occupying there to deal with all their spendings till they get paid?

This is particularly true of trucking establishments. They often deal with great deals of statements which means a huge volume of collection period involves business owner themselves. Seeking to get compensated promptly can develop into an incredible headache and this is why you use truck factoring firms who are happy to help out truckers primarily.

As most of us determine, trucking is an exceptionally big business with a lot of agencies out there handling hundreds of drivers. However, many of these drivers wind up in income predicaments considering that they are still anticipating work from six weeks previously to actually pay them. When this is the case for a trucking organization, consulting factoring agencies for solutions could be the very best alternative left.

This indicates that a truck firm can provide the salaries of the crew, keep all the vehicles filled with gas and continue to scale, grow and expand without always waiting for the resources which is taking too lengthy to come in. Trucking Businesses working without a factoring system put in place are leaving themselves at substantial danger, as competitors cash out promptly and carry on to grow.

There's genuinely nothing at all to be distressed about when it comes to making use of a Factoring firm-- they are not like a banking company or an individual who is going to leave you with a substantial stack of liability to pay back. You give them genuine invoices from work you have already finished , you are only just quickening the payment process.

In the Usa, where truck companies grow, factoring companies are not considered borrowing in any capacity. This confidential agreement then lets both groups to profit and indulge in a good future-- it provides the factoring agency a secured asset of income to put into the list and it provides the trucking firm the needed cash that they worked hard to earn.

The trucking establishment presents their accounts to the factoring business. The trucking factoring provider then receive the installment payments from the trucking company's clients. Factoring has been all around for hundreds of years and has been adopted for long times by lots of diverse sectors-- but none more so than truckers. While you might possibly miss out on a small part of the money, something like 1-3 % depending on who you partner with, it means that you are acquiring the funds today and can actually start off setting the funds to operate.

Anyway, an IOU or an invoice is not going to fund spendings, is it? For trucking establishments when the finances can be really good one day and gone the next, it is up to the vehicle drivers to work sensibly and to guarantee they are leaving themselves with a substantial volume of time and money to get through the week up until they are compensated again.

So the next period your trucking establishment is having some momentary capital dilemmas and you are shelling out excessive time chasing slow paying clients, why not start off thinking of making use of a factoring companies as a method to get your finances and give yourself a more convenient future in the eyes of your trucking team and your bank dividend?

Factoring in the Future of a Trucking Business: A Story Jose Young let the phone ring on his desk. His morning coffee cooled and his cigarette smoked away in the tray: Jose is thinking, and pondering the biggest decision he's ever had to make for his trucking business. Young Trucking Company was at a turning point of growth and Jose had to decide if signing with a factoring company was the right way forward.

Joses father had started as an owner-operator and had grown Young Trucking Company into a fifteen trailer fleet over forty years. There had been some hard times when it seemed everything was going to go under and even Joses mother strapped herself into a cab to make hauls. His father had lived long enough to witness the price of hires drop during the recession and watch the eruption of fuel prices afterwards. But now things were different: the company was in Jose's hands and he needed to ensure that this business would be left in great shape for his sons.

There just never seemed to be enough money to go around, and certainly no spare cash, but to move his company successfully into the future he needed a steady and reliable cash flow. His employees needed to be paid. They all have families and the usual household bills. A few of the refrigerated trailers really needed some maintenance, and in order to stay competitive he really wanted to invest in specialized haulers to meet the increasing requests for loads of agricultural and energy equipment. Every time he had to turn down a request, Young Trucking looked weak in a very strong market.

His father would have told him to wait and to take his time adding on new technology. Jose chuckled, thinking about his father. He remembered when his father was totally against installing GPS units in the cabs. His Dad would say ""Why on earth do you need some stranger telling you to get off the exit that everyone knows has been there for years? He smiled to himself as he remembered his father poking fun at the other drivers who switched to automatic, even though automatic was quite obviously more efficient (though less manly). He knew his father's days were long gone and new technology was very important for the business, like having Qualcomm to reduce communication time for bills of lading.

Jose knew he was right in his forward thinking. How would he take Young Trucking to the next level? And how would he be able to afford it? Business funding was tied up in fuel bills and the mortgage for the garage and office. He just finished paying off the small bank loan for installing satellite radio in the trucks for the guys.

He wondered about factoring - was this the answer for him? There was a lot he didnt understand about the process. It sounded like a ninth grade math problem and he wondered how this would fit into the trucking business. A factoring company actually purchases your invoices and takes control of your accounts receivable, payment being a certain percentage of the amount invoiced. In return, the factoring company pays the trucking business straight away, providing immediate cash flow for the business to pay staff, purchase fuel, and do any repairs or maintenance. Without the assistance of factoring, you have to wait for customers to send you the payment which is often 30 days late. In those 30 days, a trucking company cant pay its bills and employees in invoices.

Jose had to really consider what his next step was going to be. Jose had heard that there were companies that charged for same day money transfers and would only advance a percentage of the money owed to your company while holding the rest in a private account if they didnt get their bill payment within 60 or so days. Plus it was worse still if the customer didnt pay up at all because then the factoring company would take it right out of the money supposed to be coming to you! He'd even heard about some companies putting you onto a sliding percentage scale regardless of any previously signed contracts for possibly 3% or 7%, and there you are now with 10% coming as a charge to you out of the freight bill. His colleague, Ronnie, who owned a trucking company in Missouri, was nearly destroyed by a factoring company who charged him the full freight bill on top of the fees for factoring. Well, what was the point of going to a factoring company if there was shady business like that going on?

However, it all turned out to be very simple. When he called the factoring companies he discovered they were very open about their business practices, and very friendly and helpful. Customer service appeared to understand their company and explained in clear, concise English exactly how it all worked. He was quite happy to sign an exclusive contract. In fact, he was quite pleased with the idea of a long-term contract because he knew this was a one-off and he would not have to keep going back and forth to different companies. He was not charged for a credit check, and in addition he was offered a fuel advance on the pick-up of a load. Many companies offered a non-recourse factoring program that suited him just fine. Also he was happy to hear how much he was offered in terms of percentages on the freight bills. It was good money.

For Jose it was quite a relief to be dealing with the factoring company. They were more personable than those loan managers at the bank. He was relieved to note that the factoring companies understood the trucking business and discussed business with him like a respected client, not like someone looking for a handout. The factoring companies were not interested in his credit nor the financial problems his father had experienced in the past. All the factoring company was interest in was the credit of his customers and on their reliability: this worked great for Jose because he and his father had created a very strong and loyal list of clientele over the years. He knew immediately that there would not be any problems when they were contacted by the factoring company regarding their invoices. His clients would not have any problems, nor would they think poorly of Young Trucking, because the factoring companies handle themselves in such a polite and professional manner, similar to the way his father had managed the business in the past.

Feeling happier now, Jose stepped out of his office to advise his secretary to expect to receive the contract very shortly from the factoring company. He felt exhilarated by the new possibilities that would make the future of the company fun again and put the stress of the difficult times behind him. He suddenly realized that, with this new cash flow, he could actually expand Young Trucking Company and who knows, move into Canada, which had always been his dream. He was a happy man again knowing that he had just made a decision which would guarantee the success of his business and his sons would not be inheriting a financial mess.

Traditional Bank Loans

Finance through a bank loan is the normal, or traditional, way of financing your business. These loans can be a life-saver, but they're not always available to every business. For example, a fairly newly established business simply may not have the assets to readily get a loan from a bank, even if they do, the standard collateral for a business loan is the business itself, which means that if you cannot make your loan payment, you risk losing your entire business. Plus, the amount you apply for through the bank is the actual amount that you are going to receive. Of course, once that loan has been re-paid, you can always re-apply for another loan.

Trucking Factoring Companies

Trucking Factoring companies do not give loans, and the money you get from the Trucking Factoring company does not put you in debt. Rather the financing you receive from a Trucking Factoring company is based on money your business has already earned, but have not yet received. The Trucking Factoring company purchases your accounts receivable, or part of them, for a certain percentage of their value - this is normally about 80-95%. The amount of finance you can receive will be based on the amount you have earned and the accounts receivable you are prepared to sell. Once you have set up Trucking Factoring account it continues as long as you wish it too and the amount of money available to you even can grow as your business grows, giving you the ready cash you need to meet your own obligations.

Benefits of a Trucking Factoring Company Vs. A Bank Loan

Not every business can benefit from Trucking Factoring account financing because you have to have a business with accounts receivable, however there are many benefits for those who can access this type of finance.

1. There is no debt. You do not incur debt as you do with a bank loan because the Trucking Factoring company actually purchases your accounts receivable. One of the main benefits of this kind of financing is that your business credit rating and your personal credit rating will not be affected. Should the unforeseeable happen and your business fails, you will not have to worry about anyone coming after your personal as well as your business assets to pay off a loan. With a bank loan, the debt goes onto your credit report, and even one late payment can adversely affect your businesses credit, and even the ability to get insurance and may even reflect upon your personal credit rating.

2. No Collateral Required. Another great benefit of using the services of a Trucking Factoring company instead of a bank loan is that there is no collateral required for the Trucking Factoring company, because the Trucking Factoring company is buying your accounts receivables. Plus, the state of your credit rating is not an issue; however the Trucking Factoring company will run a credit check on your clients whose accounts receivable are being offered for financing. This makes it easier for fledgling businesses to get the financing they need through a Trucking Factoring company (as long as their accounts receivables are in good order) then from a bank, who may not feel that you have been in business long enough to be worth the risk of issuing you a loan.

3. You'll receive the money faster. Using a Trucking Factoring company means that you'll get the finance quicker. Once the Trucking Factoring company assures itself that the customers in your accounts receivable are likely to pay their debt, the money is usually in the account within 24 hours. With a bank, there are vast amounts of paperwork, then the loan has to be underwritten, which can take months before you actually see the loan if it is approved.

4.You receive interest up-front. With a bank loan interest continues to build, and this has to be paid the whole time you have a business loan; however with a Trucking Factoring company there is no interest - they take it right off the top by deducting it from the total amount of receivable accounts. So you do not have to worry about monthly loan repayments, and you do not have to worry about the amount of interest payable, because all the money in the account is yours to spend.

As you can see, there are several benefits that makes considering financing through a Trucking Factoring company over a traditional bank worthwhile. However, there are also a couple of other benefits that a factory company can offer your business is far beyond the scope of the bank. The most important benefits is that once you sell your accounts receivable to the factory company, you do not have to take time away from running your business to collect the money owed from reluctant to pay customers. Since these accounts belong to the Trucking Factoring company, this is now their job. Trucking Factoring companies are very efficient at debt collecting, and this frees up your valuable time to devote to running your company.

Another bonus is that, because the Trucking Factoring company has evaluated the quality of your customers' credit before buying the accounts receivable, you learn valuable information regarding your customers, like which ones are likely to pay, and which ones are less likely to pay. While a Trucking Factoring company is not the only way for your business to obtain the money it needs to keep growing, it does offer a type of financing well worth considering.
